ALERT™ Software
|

|
|
|

|
The Alert family of software products include our flagship software Expert ALERT™ as well as AdvancedALERT® , StandardALERT™ and ViewALERT™. These products share most of the same features but have minor differences in diagnostic capabilities to best meet your budget and your specific application.

Description ALERT™ Software
|

|
|
All of the ALERT Analysis Systems utilize the same database and therefore are compatible with each other as well as many of DLI's other products and services including all of DLI's portable data collectors and analyzers. For example, a plant may use one copy of ExpertALERT and two copies of ViewALERT connected to the same database or in a replicating network. Information in any database may also be viewed over the Internet via the DLI Web Connect™ service. One may upgrade at anytime to another ALERT product without losing time or information.

ExpertALERT™
|

|
ExpertALERT™ is DLI's flagship software product and is owned by 90% of DLI's customers. ExpertALERT was designed for use by DLI engineers in order to make our vibration services the most efficient and effective in the world. DLI engineers analyze thousands of machine tests per month using ExpertALERT.
ExpertALERT utilizes the only proven and widely accepted automated diagnostic system on the market today. The system is capable of screening hundreds of machines tests in a matter of minutes and produces reports that include specific fault information, severity and repair recommendations. BearingALERT™ technology contained in this software accurately diagnosis rolling element contact bearing wear without requiring the bearing make or model number.
A few key features of ExpertALERT:
· Fast and easy system set up with advanced Setup Wizards
· Rapid vibration data screening using sensitive narrow-band vibration techniques for early detection of faults
· Proven diagnostic system that identifies problem machines and gives accurate diagnosis of fault(s)
· Prioritized Repair Recommendations - comparable to experienced human vibration analyst in a mature program
· Reduce your data analysis and diagnosis time by hours. Rather than analyzing every single spectrum collected, the expert system will give you an accurate diagnosis and recommendation, in minutes not hours
· Professional, flexible report generation
· Ability to Easily Integrate Other PdM Technologies
Graphical Analysis
ExpertALERT is unsurpassed when it comes to graphical analysis tools. You can view spectra in single, or three per page formats. If you need to examine the data to learn more about a suspected problem, ExpertALERT will have the tool.
ExpertALERT Analysis Tools
· 3D Spectral Waterfall
· Single Axis, Triaxial, and Double-Triax Spectral and Waveform Displays
· Reference Cursor Delta Markers
· Harmonic Markers - Machine View Diagram
· Fault Frequency Calculation
· Sideband Markers
· Cepstum Analysis
· Orbit, Filtered Orbit and Full Spectrum
· Bearing Database (>9000 Bearings)

AdvancedALERT®
|

|
AdvancedALERT® contains all the same database management and analysis tools as StandardALERT however it also includes BearingALERT technology for automated bearing wear detection. This software is appropriate for those mainly interested in bearing wear or those who can justify the additional time required to perform manual analysis on non bearing related problems.
BearingALERT combines and automates a number of analysis techniques in order to automatically detect rolling element bearing wear without requiring bearing make or model number. These techniques include: cepstrum analysis, order normalization, automatic peak extraction, noise floor calculations, high frequency demodulation or envelop analysis, and a rule based expert system. BearingALERT technology has been used by DLI engineers and clients in virtually every industry worldwide for over 15 years with great success.
Although specific bearing information is not required or used by BearingALERT, users retain the capability of defining up to 4 bearings per test point and overlaying calculated bearing
frequencies on the graphs. AdvancedALERT includes a bearing database with over 9000 bearing and users may add bearing information to this database as required.
AdvancedALERT reports cite 4 levels of bearing wear severity (Slight, Moderate, Serious and Extreme) which can be trended over time in order to realize the maximum life from the bearings. Fault patterns, including peaks in the spectra and demodulated data, are included in the report to allow users to easily confirm the faults with manual analysis.
AdvancedALERT also creates an exception report that includes a summary of peaks that exceed alarm in up to 10 user defined and 5 undefined frequency bands per spectrum. The exception report contains the level of the peak, exceedances over baseline, frequency, axis and test location. This report helps point users to other potential machine faults including unbalance, misalignment, looseness and gear wear etc. AdvancedALERT will automatically analyze and report on 63 distinct alarm bands per test location and up to 99 test locations per machine. This is accomplished by AdvancedALERT in a matter of seconds
AdvancedALERT contains all of the manual analysis capabilities found in ExpertALERT.

StandardALERT™
|

|
StandardALERT™ contains all of the manual analysis tools found in AdvancedALERT™ and ExpertALERT™. The software will automatically screen the data for alarms or exceedances in up to 63 alarm bands in per test location and up to 99 test locations per machine. This software is appropriate for those on a budget or who don’t have machines or applications that lend themselves to automated diagnostics.

StandardALERT users can easily upgrade to AdvancedALERT or ExpertALERT in order to take advantage of automated bearing wear detection and or full machine fault diagnostics.
StandardALERT automatically screens and creates an exception report on up to 6 spectra (3 axis in 2 frequency ranges) and 3 overall RMS values per test location. Up to 99 test locations can be defined per machine. The exception report contains the levels of the peaks, exceedances over baseline, frequencies, axis and test locations. This information allows analysts to quickly identify alarm conditions and hone in on the suspect information in the graphs. In fact, there are 63 distinct alarm bands automatically screened by StandardALERT on each machine test location. All 63 alarms may be presented in chart format, or just the exceedances reported in the exception report.

ViewALERT™
|

|
ViewALERT™ is a viewer program for any member of the ALERT product line. Users have access to all reports and analysis tools but they cannot add, edit, delete or modify any information in the database. They can however load and unload data collectors. ViewALERT is appropriate for vibration service clients or for users who are not actively involved in the program but want access to all of the data and information.
Enterprise Network License
The Enterprise network license allows users to connect to the same database at the same time over a network. The Enterprise network license is compatible with all of the Alert family of products.
Database Replication Software
Database replication allows two or more databases to synchronize with each other over a network or the Internet. This powerful technology allows two or more users to work independently in their systems and then synchronize them. Changes made in one database appear in the other and visa versa. It is an extremely valuable tool for sharing information and providing remote analysis services. Typically, the service provider will use ExpertALERT software to maintain the database, analyze data and produce reports. The service client will use ViewALERT to load and unload data collectors and add notes. After the two systems have synchronized, the service provider will receive all of the new data and notes and the ViewALERT user will receive all of the edited reports and database configuration changes. The ViewALERT user will be able to view reports edited by the service provider. They will also have access to all of the historical data as well as graphical analysis tools.
Another common user of the ViewALERT software is a maintenance manager or other non-technical person. They are not running or maintaining the vibration analysis program, but they do want to have access to the machine history and data for supervisory purposes.
